The APSIPA Taiwan Chapter held a focused Workshop on Visual Signal Processing, Coding and Applications at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) on January 14, 2026. The event was organized by Prof. Wen-Hsiao Peng and co-organized by experts from NYCU, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), and National Chung Cheng University (CCU).
The workshop provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange on emerging techniques in neural video codecs, 3D geometry compression, and generative AI. Key presentations covered advanced topics such as Mamba-based point cloud compression, constrained viewpoint Gaussian splatting, and degradation modeling in diffusion models, highlighting significant advancements in visual computing and restoration.
